2019 Event: The Tour de France cycling race in the Vosges Mountains
The Tour de France climbs to new heights! Change gears in the Vosges Mountains

The 2019 Tour de France will take place from 6 to 28 July 2019. The race begins with the Grand Départ in Brussels, paying tribute to the 50th anniversary of Eddy Merckx's first win.

The Vosges Mountains and Alsace will be in the spotlight on 10 and 11 July 2019. The fifth stage, from Saint-Dié-des-Vosges to Colmar, passes through Schirmeck, the Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle, Kaysersberg and the Five Castles Road. The sixth stage, from Mulhouse to the ski resort of La Planche des Belles Filles, passes through the peaks of Le Markstein, Le Grand Ballon and Le Ballon d'Alsace as well as the Col de Chevrères mountain pass.
