The Vosges Mountains – ideal for sport and relaxation!

Climb up to the peaks, trek over undulating hills and mountains, race down to the valleys and amble along with all your senses alive to the great outdoors.

The Vosges Mountains boast over 18,000 km of trails marked out and kept trim by volunteers from the Club Vosgien, founded in Saverne in 1872.
For your comfort, you’ll find mountain huts, viewpoint indicators and stop-off points along the way. And for a well-earned meal and rest, bed & breakfast, gîtes, hotels and farmhouse inns.
The whole infrastructure is geared for you to hike at your own pace, with paths for the more energetic and theme trails with or without a guide so you can discover the secrets of history, botany, wine-growing and contemporary art.  You can choose from relaxed family rambles or hiking trails linked up to European hiking routes.
By bike: the Vosges Mountains are a fantastic adventure ground for avid cyclists. A number of routes are mapped over cycle trails or small roads to ensure your safety and facilitate bicycle tourism and cross-county or road cycling and of course there are forest trails for mountain biking.
Water leisure and sports: a whole spectrum of activities awaits you from small streams to large lakes, diving, and of course all the pleasures of a spa resort.
A multitude of sporting activities for an exciting holiday full of thrills: downhill and cross-country skiing, hang-gliding, climbing, horse-riding, adventure trails and golf.
